CARE OF NIGHT – Reconnected

The third record by the awesome melodic rockers from Sweden known as Care of Night is just the thing if 80s-flavored AOR gets you high. Everything here is easy to digest and instantly appealing, the production is pristine and oozes professionalism, and the number of hooks and catchy vocal melodies is astronomical. These guys offer nothing new or groundbreaking, but they deliver their atmospheric songs with a prominent sense of vigor and gusto with the most enjoyable and powerful of them being ‘Caught Feelings’, ‘Wrong’, and the heartfelt slice of melodic glory titled ‘No One Saves the World Alone’. The interplay between the various members of the outfit is strong and everything is quite clearly all about serving the song, which is commendable, and although some tracks are a little more inspired and refreshing to listen to than others, the LP as a whole is a solid piece of work. Very cool stuff.
