EVERSIN – Trinity: The Annihilation

EVERSIN – Trinity: The Annihilation

For their third full-length go around, Italy’s Eversin release "Trinity: The Annihilation". Continuing their trend for special guests on "Fire Walk With Me" (vocalist James Rivera) and "We Will Prevail" (guitarist Glen Alvelais), this is an 8 song, 40 minute record in the progressive, power/thrash mold. Vocalist Angelo Ferrante has this slightly raspy Italian accent to his patterns, often resembling Tom Araya meets Gus Chambers (ex-Grip Inc.) during sections of "Flagellum Dei" and "Litanies of War".

Expect a lot of mid-tempo songs with exemplary musicianship and solid rhythms – certainly studying up the early Metallica/ Megadeth catalog along with a dash of Annihilator and Death Angel for good measure. Not really thrilled with the hollow snare sound on this recording, but I suppose that’s a minor flaw in an otherwise decent effort. "Chaosborn" and "Trinity" are two tracks sure to get the adrenaline flow elevated, and that’s what matters most for Eversin to gain appeal in the thrash realm.
