CAULDRON OF HATE – Emperor

Finnish death metal act Cauldron of Hate appears to possess the right vitriolic attitude and execution on their second EP "Emperor". Deep growls, speedy trills, and punishing transitions sure to stir up the crowd give "Slaughterfest" and the 9 minute plus "Abyssal Ascension" all the desired outcomes imaginable for those into Morbid Angel, Nile, and all phases of Death. This quartet are not stuck at one particular extreme tempo throughout, which I think aids the retention factor for these 5 songs – plus as guitarists Pestilence and Exhaust can match up for even more aggressive harmonies, trills, and counterpoint rhythms.
In existence since 2008, Cauldron of Hate is ready to move up the ranks to a full-length album – but for now "Emperor" gets the job done for technically sound death metal.
