REBELLION – Arminus, Furor Teutonicus

The sixth album for German metal quintet Rebellion isn’t that much of a departure from their earlier discography. "Arminus, Furor Teutonicus" contains all the trademark power riffs, heroic vocals, consistent rhythms and throaty vocals that should make you roar, wave your fists and mimic the band’s stage moves when they play out live.
It’s great that vocalist Michael Seifert and bassist Tomi Gottlich decided with fan support to continue Rebellion after losing 3 members in 2010- as the new guitarists Oliver Geibig and Stephan Karut as well as drummer Matthias Karle continue in that fine true power tradition a la veterans Wizard and Grave Digger. The semi-military rhythmic "Dusk Awaiting Dawn" and crunchy cat and mouse riff monster "Ghost of Freedom" should go down a storm with the fervent followers.
Rebellion keeps their innate heads and passionate hearts on street level with "Arinus, Furor Teutonicus", and that’s alright by my ears.
