NO GRAVITY – Worlds In Collision

The brainchild of Moonlight Comedy guitarist Simone Fiorletta, this new power/ progressive metal act contains some of the best vocalists in the business tackling the 9 songs. Names including Andy Kuntz (Vanden Plas), Michele Luppi (ex-Vision Divine), Fabio Lione (Rhapsody Of Fire) and Roberto Tiranti (Labyrinth) among others, "Worlds In Collision" has much in common with Symphony X and Dream Theater as far as the sprawling structures, virtuoso guitar to keyboard to rhythm section interplay and instrumental prowess.
I guess at this point, I want something more than pasting together musical compositions from two of the biggest acts in the genre and relying on the vocal abilities to separate the album from the competition. As such songs like “Voices From The Past” and the chop heavy closer “Unexpected Gift” keep this in the occasional glance pile rather than essential must have buy.
