Active for only a year as Saboter, this Greek quartet perform a brand of thrash with classic heavy metal at heart on their self-titled debut EP. Imagine a mix of Judas Priest/ Saxon-like riffs over the course of some Metallica energy and a vocalist in Antonis Vailas that can hit some piercing Halford highs while also roaring in a comfortable Chuck Billy/ James Hetfield mid-range rasp. "Land of Anger" possesses many standard neck whipping moments in the thrash vernacular during the instrumental sections, while "Nasty Warriors" features a bevy of gallops, homage to metal lyrics, and insane screams plus a tasteful, catchy lead break from Chris Tsakiropoulos.
At 5 songs and 18 minutes, Saboter establish a solid style and appear more than ready to carry a full-length record based on their solid skills and dedication to the cause.
