TEMPLE OF DECAY – Anti Deus

Ever since I received and reviewed the Temple of Decay album titled Rigor Mortis (2022), which also came out via the awe-inspiring Godz ov War Productions, I have eagerly awaited a follow- up to that excellent piece of work, and the time has finally come to sink one’s teeth into some sickening new blackened death metal by this most sinister of Polish creations. Fuck yes, this shit is the real deal!

What immediately stands out is how surprisingly catchy the eerie new material is. That unique sense of unease that I associate with this act remains intact and forms the core and essence of the record’s dark and brooding appeal, and everything is performed with conviction and authority. Not only is this an excellent black metal album with a fiery zeal and pitch-black vigor to it; it is simply a great fucking LP in general and my favorite output by Temple of Decay so far, which is a pretty damn good indication that this intensely aggressive and fierce entity is getting better and better with time. A hellish atmosphere awaits you, and what is not to love about that?!
