BIOTOXIC WARFARE – Lobotomized

Greece is very active again in the thrash movement – here is Biotoxic Warfare, another young quintet on their debut album "Lobotomized" attempting to bring the 80’s movement to the youth. A strong love for Kreator, Slayer, and maybe Sacred Reich takes place in terms of the twin riffing, transitional parts, and throaty vocals from Mike Kavalos. Imagine a lot of "Coma of Souls" meets early 90’s Slayer for "Dysphoric Reality", while "Parasitic Life" just has this stair step, neck breaking riff slew that energizes you to the stratosphere.
A thin drum sound shouldn’t deter the ardent thrashers, Biotoxic Warfare at least shift off the Bay Area template and throw in occasional Death references in the growls for closer "As We Rot…(Promises of Heaven)". A 37 minute platter that has plenty of muscle, "Lobotomized" is another promising upstart in the new Greek thrash breed.
