NITROVOLT – Dirty Wings

German speed rock here – groovy, heavy, and yet very much espousing a punk, throw it all out there ethic on the album "Dirty Wings". 13 tracks in a scant 32 minutes, sometimes only hitting 9 seconds for "Zeke Saturday" or the 1:17 bass propelled follow up "Stuck", you can sense Zeke, Motörhead, and Airbourne are three big influences, if taken through the Exciter or early Metallica blender.
Occasionally taking the accelerator down on the fist-pumping "Takes Too Long" or AC/DC-ish "Target", the bread and butter for this quartet is their relentless pedal to the metal tempos, riffing, and equally rip roaring vocals. Right out of the gate "NV" brings the blood boiling off the charts, while "Hold on the Trace" and "Backfire" put youthful NWOBHM meets speed rock into the spotlight. Great gritty songs here, Nitrovolt can fire up any audience I feel, and leave the masses breathless.
