HERRATIK – Compromise Gone

‘Compromise Gone’ is the second full-length foray from Australian act Herratik. The music is a catchy blend of thrash and death metal with more than a few memorable riffs, some strong musicianship and an excellent, modern production.

Unfortunately, after half a dozen listens this album has failed to make a really lasting impression on me. Sure, I really like some the grooves and the band have done their best to come up with something new, fresh and exciting, but overall it sounds like a jaunt through a landscape we’ve all travelled many times before. It is a shame to see so much talent and effort fall short of greatness, but ultimately, that is what happened here. Better luck next time guys!
