MINUSHUMAN – Bloodthrone

Second album from this French five piece power thrash meets heavy rock act Minushuman. At times pulsating like Machine Head or latter Max-era Sepultura, other times Isis, the five piece have this uncompromising sound that even at mid-tempo pacing just sweeps your body into hypnotic, spasmodic movements. “The Architect” resounds with it’s repetitive guitar motions, while “The Size Of The Ocean” obliterates the competition with the galloping down tuned picking against the Gaspard Jeanty-Ruard octopus snare to bass to cymbal juggling act. “Forgotten Fields” at 7:02 encapsulates all aspects of Cedric Moise’s vocal capabilities, delivering some alternative clean singing and deep death screams against the dramatic up and down poly-rhythmic groove backdrop.
Another promising newcomer to watch for the future years – as I think they have the right balance between musicality and addictive hooks/songwriting to watch the following mushroom and blossom.
