Italian four piece who profess a love for melodic power metal in the German vein on their second album "Invisible". Songs like “Winter’s Night”, “Velvet Rope” and “Time Machine” have that guns blazing, high pitch vocal/music action in line with Helloween, Freedom Call and Metalium. Throw in a few tender heart ballads and the requisite mid-tempo anthems and you’ll understand that Perpetual Fire aren’t reinventing the wheel, they merely serve up familiar sounds in a cut and paste fashion from their mentors catalogs.
17 songs and 70 minutes that could have been that much more full of impact with self-pruning and restraint.
