NEED2DESTROY – Show

The German force named Need2Destroy is a competent and utterly aggressive crossover metal outfit that has traces and elements of acts such as Pantera, Pissing Razors, Devildriver, Suicidal Tendencies, Machine Head, and Lamb of God (and even Meshuggah and Static X in a handful of places if you would believe that) coursing through it. Truth be told, Need2Destroy are hardly reinventing anything here, but the cool thing about this 13-track record of theirs (three of which are bonus tracks on the CD version) is the amount of creativity, cleverness, and inventiveness with respect to song structures and arrangements that are in constant play on the disc.
These skilled dudes juggle various different styles of music to great effect and they sound confident and insanely energetic while doing so. Not everything works to perfection and there are some fillers present on the album, but in the overall perspective, this is an eclectic and entertaining listen with plenty of dynamics and surprises to it. Seething with rage one minute only to turn mellow and totally change pace and atmosphere the next, "Show" is a varied affair boasting a punchy production, strong musicianship, and some pulverizing tracks in the shape of the title track, "El Arrogante", and "La Cholera". Not to be missed if you are into crossover metal, metal core, or groove metal.
