CHELMNO – Hoizon of Events

Some band’s rip off others and get away with it, some do not. Italian Chelmno is one of those who get away with it. Barely!

This is the band’s second offer and my first encounter with them. After several spins I give them the benefit of the doubt. Why? I have no idea, guess their album appeals to me somehow. Cause at first I thought "hell no, this is plain rip-off", but now I kind of enjoy this offering. Not that I will play this disc to it’s demise, but for the time being I like it.

They have definitely listened to early Darkthrone, some Mayhem, Clandestine Blaze etc. So, now you know what you get. Fast, ugly and uncompromising Black Metal. Overall an OK album, but nothing I would pay for.
