Introduce your band, and describe your latest release:
Freedivers is an independent rock band based in Barcelona. The project began in mid-2019 and has undergone some changes in its members. our music is influenced by the Seattle sound of 90’s , by bands like Nirvana, Soundgarden, Pearl Jam and others. Our latest release is called “The Offering” and it has a contained energy that leaves no one indifferent.
What’s the hardest part about being a band in this day and age?
In our case, it is finding the time to rehearse, record, compose, all those things necessary to carry the project forward. We are not music professionals, we have our jobs and responsibilities every day, and that makes it difficult to find the time to meet

When did you realise that your project had the potential to be much more than just a fun idea?
I think from the beginning.
Tell us about your latest release, why should we check it out?
Our latest release is called “The Offering”, it’s a very rock song, with a lot of energy and a lot of influence from that characteristic sound of grunge bands that we love. I think it is a song that leaves no one indifferent. It is one of those songs that give you extra energy when you get up in the morning.
How does a song typically come together for you?
There is no concrete way, at least for me. It happens and you know it at the moment. it’s magic.
How would you describe your sound to an unfamiliar reader?
Well, the music we make has a lot of influence from the 90’s Seattle sound. In any of our songs you will find that influence, and they will remind you of mythical bands from that period.
What do you want listeners to take away from listening to your band?
We want them to get the impression of having been part of something important, to feel the same emotion that we feel when we perform our songs.
Where would you really like to tour that you haven’t done so yet, and why?
Certainly in the UK. we feel a strong connection to that country, and we would like to be heard there. We hope this year it can be.
How would you say that the sound of your band has progressed over the years?
Well, I think that basically in the lyrics of the songs, before they were more sweetened, now they are deeper, more visceral. the sound has also evolved to something more raw.
How excited are you for 2023, and what can fans expect from you?
Well, we expect many good things for 2023. We are working on 3 new songs and preparing the recording of a new video.
