SICK N’ BEAUTIFUL – Starstruck

These industrial hard rockers from Italy released this energetic output titled Starstruck containing several meaty tunes a few months ago, and I must say that I found it a rather refreshing and inspired listen. With its crunchy riffs, impassioned vocals, and explosive rhythm section, the LP contains both heart and punch. The driven nature of the song material is impressive in that things are constantly propelled forward, and the record hardly ever seems to lose its momentum. The influences from electro rock add some interesting nuances to the tunes, and I dig the dramatic, borderline carnivalesque vibe of the affair. The album is not necessarily an offering that I will listen to often as it does require a certain mood and ambience to truly works its wicked charm on the listener, but when one craves loud, industrial-inspired rock that is bursting to the seams with hooks, this one will definitely serve a purpose and come in handy.

Suitably heavy and delightfully catchy, Starstruck is a solid, creative, and entertaining slab of hard-hitting rock music that will give you a proper kick up the ass.
