The incredible Swedish hard rockers H.E.A.T parted ways with the amazing singer Erik Grönwall a while ago and then welcomed the return of original vocalist Kenny Leckremo, and what I can tell you about this stadium-sized juggernaut of delicious hooks titled Force Majeure is that it is the band’s finest hour yet, which is saying something.

The sound of the record is absolutely massive and powerful beyond belief. It totally slays and suits the well-structured song material perfectly. The musicianship is stellar, the vocals are a real delight, and every tune possesses a great flow. The group as a whole is right on the money from start to finish, and there are no mediocre or unremarkable tracks to be found on the disc. Words such as catchy and memorable obviously apply to Force Majeure – big time – but one of the most impressive things about the LP to these ears is how confidently these guys seem to roll such irresistible compositions with substance and longevity to them right out of their sleeves as if it was the easiest thing in the world. Not saying that their previous offerings were lacking anything in that department as such, but this thrilling new opus of theirs is just a bottomless well of brilliant ideas and an identity of its own, and there is so much to savor here for all you lovers of fist-pumping hard rock. What about album highlights then? Are you kidding me?! Just run along and buy this one asap, okay?
