GRAHAM BONNET BAND – My Kingdom Come

Legendary vocalist Graham Bonnet (Rainbow, Alcatrazz, MSG, etc.) recently released this rather awesome 2-track EP containing some great new material that I feel pretty fucking confident will blow your tiny minds. To me, Graham Bonnet is a brilliant vocalist, and "Down to Earth" by Rainbow is one of my all-time favorite albums. In some ways, the 2 songs that constitute "My Kingdom Come", one being the title track and the other being entitled "The Mirror Lies", are the perfect blend of some of the great bands that he has been a member of and contributed to over the years. The riffs and melodies are catchy as hell, the use of keyboards is superb, the musicianship is excellent, the lyrics are great, and Mr. Bonnet himself simply rules and delivers every goddamn note with passion and intensity. Some passages and parts are somewhat mellow and melancholic while others are ferocious and in-your-face, which is to say that we are dealing with a couple of dynamic and perfectly varied tunes here.
