Death Karma consists of members from mysterious Czech ensemble Cult Of Fire.
Debut full-length "The History of Death and Burial Rituals Part 1" is released on the mighty Iron Bonehead label so automatically there the expectations somewhat increase.
Death Karma plays a hybrid of death/black metal and this is some juicy stuff. A riff fest among (almost) none other and a pleasant production makes this stand out among the hordes of similar bands in this beloved genre.
Death Karma delivers 6 very strong hymns all in honour of death (not the genre or the band, but the ending of life). We get to witness six different rendentions/rituals/observations of death from different parts of the world (Slovakia, Madagaskar, Mexico, Czech, China and India).
As mentioned earlier, the production is nice and clean but at the same time sounding both old and murky.
If you´re into this genre you will do you´re self a favor and check out Death Karma
