STRYNN – Alienation

Strynn is a French black metal outfit that was conceived a few years ago, and «Alienation» is the band’s second full-length album so far. The eleven songs that constitute this album are all rooted in ugly, primitive, and dissonant black metal, and while that may sound pretty cool and okay and whatnot on paper, the result is, frankly speaking, fucking awful and lame. Not one single song on this album is even halfway decent. I am seriously pondering the question of whether these guys are joking or not. «Alienation» is totally devoid of atmosphere and moods, and the melodies and riffs are so bad that I can hardly stand listening to them. The bottom line is that «Alienation» has no redeeming features to it; the production is mindnumbingly bad, the songs are horrible, the vocals will give you a headache…and if this is a joke it is not even fucking funny. What a waste of my time this was.
