Cannibal Corpse should need no introduction. The US death metal act is out with their 13 full-length aptly called "A Skeletal Domain" and hell yeath this is some good extreme metal. I´ve personally been a little on and off CC since I first got their third output "Tomb of the Mutlated (1992). The first albums with Chris Barnes on vocal really do it for me but when I´ve got hold of "Vile" (1996) with new vocalist Corpsegrinder behind the mic I lost it a little.
But he has really proven himself to be just as formidable as Barnes during his tenure as mainman and albums like "Kill" (2006) and "Torture (2012) has been on steady rotation since their inception.
One thing that comes to mind when "A Skeletal Domain" starts blasting is that you always know what you get from CC. They never have and probably never will be distrayed from their formula of gore infested, crushing death metal and for that alone I really like their 13 album.
This is what death metal is all about and like my fellow reviewers opinions here at ET, CC seem to be getting better at it as time goes and that is one example of the quality that fill the wall of sound that hits you when these guys gets going.
"A Skeletal Domain" has proven once again that Cannibal Corpse is definition of death metal and if you did not know that, well now you do!
