ELECTRIC WIZARD – Time to Die

ELECTRIC WIZARD – Time to Die

Jus Oborn and his formidable doom outfit Electric Wizard are back one again with a heavy as f**k album (what is heavy?, It´s for someone else to dechiper).
Electric Wizard should need no introduction and if you´re wondering what all the fuzz is about, give "Dopethrone" a listen and be impressed.

"Time to Die" is EW´s eight full-length and they follow up in good thread to 2010´s "Black Masses". Distorted and down tuned guitar that really drags you down into the mud with an evil smile on it´s face. Oborn´s vocal is just as uneasy and chilling to listen to as before, only this time it´s actually a little bit easier to hear all the words he sings from what appears to be from another room. The low, hollow and distant vocal is EW´s signature thing and it works out great every time.

The production is just dark and (here it comes again) heavy. The riffs are melodic but distorted to keep them just below listening pleasure. It reeks of old Sabbath and it´s just a pleasure to listen to.
All hail Electric Wizard and Jus Oborne!
