ISSA – The Storm

Not resting on her laurels, the female siren voice from Norway Issa returns with a 12 song sophomore effort. Putting more of her songwriting touch into this material, it’s another consistent buffet of melodic rock and AOR with her soaring, vibrant pop sensibilities. Producer Daniel Flores also makes his mark with his intuitive drumming, bass and keyboard skills – giving wings to make material like “Black Clouds” and “Looking For Love” instant toe tapping, hook filled future classics.
Issa’s voice does have the sharp multi-octave sustainability of Celine Dion with more of a rougher exterior necessary in this style of melodic rock. Knowing more of what she wants, “The Storm” should place this woman into veteran status and hopefully lead to a long, prosperous career.
