DALKHU – Imperator

After counting down from 6, 6, 6 (5-4-3-2-1…), opening some doors and playing some horns, Dalkhu from Slovenia finally sets off on their quest to conquer the world playing straight forward good old black metal.
And they do so in a convincing way, certainly without re- inventing the wheel, but when you are in the right mood, quality catchy riffs and grim vocal done as solid as on this debut album is all you need. The wrapping and artwork are also worth mentioning, really impressive, and you would not think this was a self-released album, these guys has really put some effort and money into the finished product. Lyrics? Demons, warlocks and fallen angels, in other words, everything as it should be, and the same goes for the dirty and mean sound.
