Introduce your band, and describe your latest release:
We are P.M.Tiger, a five piece indie rock band from Tampa FL. Our new song Catfish Motel combines ethereal synths and dynamic falsettos to create our most authentic sound yet. The song is about the struggle in finding out that nothing is ever as good as it seems.
What’s the hardest part about being a band in this day and age?
Getting people who are moving so fast to slow down and try something new with us.
When did you realize that your project had the potential to be much more than just a fun idea?
Before the conception of P.M.Tiger, Jordan started writing songs that were just really cool and different. Josh learned to play the keys for the band because he liked the music so much. Max first heard some songs over the phone long distance, and was instantly hooked. John drove 8 hours for band practice (Florida – Georgia). Adam literally moved from the Pacific Northwest to join the band. We all feel the power of the TIGER and always have. It goes deep.
Tell us about your latest release, why should we check it out? How does a song typically come together for you?
This song was written differently than any other song we have written before. Jordan came with a demo to the studio. We collaborated with the producer, Austin Coupe, to make all the instruments mesh together perfectly. It’s just good, check it out. If you like this one, wait until the next one.
How would you describe your sound to an unfamiliar reader?
We are a blend of something that you’ve heard before with something that you didn’t think you needed to hear. Our band is riding the razor’s edge of a garage band and a polished pop sound.
What do you want listeners to take away from listening to your band?
We want our listeners to hear the chorus right when they wake up in the morning. We want the songs to get stuck in their head so much that they don’t know if they love us or not.
Where would you really like to tour that you haven’t done so yet, and why?
We want to hit the west coast of the US and Europe. Our partnership with Animal Farm Records in the UK, has only strengthened our desire to travel overseas.
How would you say that the sound of your band has progressed over the years?
We have really capitalized on Jordan’s melody writing. For our live shows, we have been able to hone in on our vibe and give an awesome show. We found a way to tap into the infectious quality of the songs we know and love and apply them to our sound.
How excited are you for 2023, and what can fans expect from you?
We are the most excited that we have ever been. The new year holds new music and much touring. We are so ready to share the TIGER with everyone.
