CIRCUS OF ROCK – Come One, Come All

The debut album by Circus of Rock, which is basically a brand-new project spearheaded by King Company drummer Mirka Rantanen, explodes right out of the gate and contains a blistering, fist-pumping mixture of heavy metal and hard rock. You get loud guitars, pounding drums, and a whole arsenal of big, tasty choruses and even bigger hooks. "Come One, Come All" is an uplifting and enjoyable listen with spark, energy, and plenty of crunch to it and having a different vocalist grace each song lends color and variety to the kick-ass affair.
The choice of singers is an inspired one and great in the sense that nearly all of them deliver the goods, and it actually sounds as if each tune has been composed and arranged with a specific vocalist in mind. The record is nothing new or revolutionary but simply a cracking good time and a potent, vital-sounding output consisting of quality music. With vocalists and musicians from Hardline and Tyketto and further on to Amaranthe and Stratovarius, it should come as no surprise that this is a musically dynamic LP, and if you want teasers, check these three mind-blowingly cool and catchy tracks out where everything just totally gels: "Never", "In Times of Despair", and "Crossroads". Wicked stuff!
