SIX REASONS TO KILL – Architects Of Perfection

Germany’s Six Reasons To Kill lob a crock pot of assorted influences into the mix on their fourth album "Architects Of Perfection". Electronica and atmospheric sounds enter from time to time to break up the death and hardcore mash up. As much as I normally encourage music cross-pollination, this five piece just have too many predictable breakdowns and similar arrangements that don’t separate them from the Hatebreed or Hatesphere clones of the world.
Florian Durr’s octopus-like drum manoeuvres did maintain a background interest in songs like “False Absolution” and “Scum Belongs To Scum” – otherwise Six Reasons To Kill gave me multiple reasons to consider self-inflicted ear wounds to seek out fresher, more original pastures.
