DEFENDER – Avalanche pour l’amour

Defender’s "Avalanche pour l’amour" (or Avalanche for love in English) might be the most obscure piece of metal ever created. When I first put Defender into my CD player I had zero expectations, zero thoughts about what to expect from a band which hadn’t made music together in over 20 years. From the beginning of the opening to "Avalanche pour l’amour" this 4 track insane asylum is both a treat to the eardrums as well as giving the listener a kind of "what the f**k?" look on their face. Few people on the planet would be able to pull off this type metal, a mixture of black metal, thrash metal and bluegrass/country. I can’t wait to hear what’s next from Defender.
