ANGSTKRIEG – Angstkrieg

The name of the band screams black metal, and yes, it’s …black metal. Angstkrieg hails from Norway, vocals are done by Tristan (ex-Dimmu Borgir), Gape Horn are throbbing the stix, Predator are slapping the monkey of doom, and B. Carrington fingers the six string, and has also written these 5 songs, between 2000 and 2008.
The music is standard traditional black metal without any big surprises, in other words, grim vocals, catchy riffs, change of pace and intense drumming. And quite boring. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not the worst I have heard, and the guys know how to play, but still, there is nothing here that makes me want to play this again and again. The key word is average, and average is just not good enough in the long run.
