BEGGARS BLISS – Beggars Bliss

BEGGARS BLISS – Beggars Bliss

RELEASE YEAR: 2026
BAND URL: https://www.facebook.com/beggarsbliss

What a lovely little treat this self-titled effort by the Derby-based hard rockers Beggars Bliss is. Immediately accessible and full of meaty motifs and bluesy riffs, this disc is an effective slab of vintage rock with staying power and depth to it. The song arrangements often impress and the compositional skill on display keeps things interesting throughout, and the muscular production captures a perfectly vibrant atmosphere. The grooves and hooks obviously make this a memorable listen, and although these guys are hardly doing anything new as such, there is so much pedigree, potency, and pathos to these ten tracks that any lack of full-blooded originality can easily be forgiven. Authentic and genuine passion not to mention raw emotion are what Beggars Bliss are all about, and fans of Bad Company, Black Stone Cherry, Blackberry Smoke, and early Aerosmith ought to check this excellent, upcoming ensemble out as soon as humanly possible. Prime cuts include the infectious “Forbidden Fruit,” the sassy “Peaches N’ Cream,” the yearning “Train Song,” and the laidback yet epic “I’m on Fire.”

In short, this is classy and heartfelt stuff that swings and excites, and what more than groove, fun, grit, and cool licks could you possibly want? This is classic rock at its most charming and I sincerely hope to catch them on the road some time in the future, which reminds me to tell you to make sure that you check their UK tour itinerary out as I know they have a bunch of shows planned for this year.
