Introduce your band and describe your latest release:
– My project is all about symphonic metalcore, I take the elements we know and love and add violins, pianos, harps and all these fun stuff! I believe I created something amazing – and I hope you will too!
My latest release talks about how I dealt with my father’s loss, the 5 songs in between represent the 5 stages of dealing with grief, I really recommend listening to the album in the correct order for the best experience!
What’s the hardest part about being a band in this day and age?
– There are so many good and talent bands out there, so many talented people, that it’s really hard to come up with something someone hasn’t done before you, especially when you’re trying to make it big, so you try to take inspiration from the bands that already made it.
When did you realise that your project had the potential to be much more than just a fun idea?
– Even before it started. I wouldn’t invest all this time, energy and money into something I thought would attract 30 people to the local venue. I know that I have the songwriting skill to be loved by many, I really hope I could reach that point one day. I keep trying.
Tell us about your latest release, why should we check it out?
– As mentioned in the answer for your first question, I believe adding all the orchestral elements to the metalcore sound we know and love is something special I do. My songs give me chills, I hope they’ll make you feel the same too.
How does a song typically come together for you?
– I first think of what I want to write about. I listen to music to help me cope with whatever I’m dealing with in life, I write music in hope I’ll help others too.
From there I just let me heart lead me, I really hope I do a good job when I’m trying to express my feelings with my music and not just through my lyrics.
Somethings music comes before the lyrics and sometimes the other way around, my methods and set in stone, what matters is the end goal which is a song that will make you feel something.
How would you describe your sound to an unfamiliar reader?
– Imagine metalcore elements ranging from 2004 to 2024, then add tons of violins and pianos.
That’s Venice Revive.
What do you want listeners to take away from listening to your band?
– I want them to come back to my songs knowing they’re there for them. That they have something to hang on to when they need it.
Where would you really like to tour that you haven’t done so yet, and why?
– No specific place, I’ll go where the fans are.
I don’t care where they’re from, what their political stance is nor what their government’s stance is. They like my songs and want to see my live in their city, I’ll go there.
How would you say that the sound of your band has progressed over the years?
– I only released one album, but the second one will have a much more modern sound and will be much more production heavy, I learned a lot about the music industry and modern music while writing my first album.
I will still try and stay true to my original sound as much as I can, modern songs have really simplified guitars and I still have very complicated and technical parts, for example, but I also need to evolve and improve my sounds if I want to make it big.
How excited are you for 2025, and what can fans expect from you?
– I plan to release a few covers before a second full length album, they won’t be your typical covers for mainstream pop, anthems and stuff like that, I chose songs that speak to me, are relevant to what I try to convey with my lyrics and the emotions I’m trying to express.
Stay tuned!
