KLOGR – Fractured Realities

The good people over at Stampede Press were kind enough to mail me a promo copy of the eagerly anticipated new album by the Italian alt. rock/modern melodic metal group known as Klogr, which turned out to be a pleasingly impassioned affair containing several thrilling and darkly sensuous moments. These chaps clearly know their way around a massive riff, and Fractured Realities displays great skill regardless of whether we are talking about the strength of the melodies, the beauty of the clever arrangements, the actual musicianship, or the way in which the poignant and reflective lyrics seriously ought to resonate with most citizens of the harrowing world of today. This offering of theirs sounds sharper and more focused than its predecessor, and it packs more emotional punch, too.

A highly potent opus to mirror the human condition anno 2024, and with songs such as “The Twisted Art,” “Unspoken Words,” and “Waking World,” there is simply a lot to shout about here. Recommended.
