Late August sees the digital release of the full-length opus titled Solemn Traits, which is a brand-new sonic curse that is firmly rooted in dark ambient drone experiments and disquieting textures – the kind that require and reward patience on the part of the listener. Spawned by thoughts and notions of how we ceaselessly leave ruins in our wake, the hurtful nature of the indistinct conversations that underline your loneliness, and the strange and addictive beauty of unreliable narration in postmodern literature (think “City of Glass” by Paul Auster), the album essentially mirrors the fact that truth is a slippery construct and that everything is falling apart.
