INHERENTLY LOST – interview

Based in Youngstown, Ohio, Inherently Lost is a band formed in 2017 that offers a cool melodic sound for the listener keen to discover new releases. They have recently put out the song “Unraveling Sanity” which is a lovely taste of what the band offers. The below chat with guitarist Joe offers more insights into the band’s influences and plans for the future

Introduce your band, and describe your latest release:
-We have Noreen on vocals, Mark on vocals and keys, Mikey on drums, Andrew on bass and myself Joe on guitar. Unraveling Sanity is our newest song release and it’s a banger!

What’s the hardest part about being a band in this day and age?
-Making money!

When did you realise that your project had the potential to be much more than just a fun idea?
-Once we had a few songs written and worked out, we knew we had something special.

Tell us about your latest release, why should we check it out?
-Our latest song we just released is Unraveling Sanity and it’s a banger! Def. check it out.

How does a song typically come together for you?
-Just depends. Alot of times it starts with a riff, but can also start with lyric, or even a drum beat.

How would you describe your sound to an unfamiliar reader?
-Heavy but yet melodic, with a touch of industrial.

What do you want listeners to take away from listening to your band?
-Just enjoy the ride!

Where would you really like to tour that you haven’t done so yet, and why?
-We haven’t toured yet, but I imagine Europe would be fun!

How would you say that the sound of your band has progressed over the years?
-We have our core sound, but we’re always looking to expand on it and open to new possibilities.

How excited are you for 2023, and what can fans expect from you?
-Very exicted! With our new single just out and our full length on the way. Also, with shows booked. It’s gonna be a good year!
