LEGEND METALFEST – nytt bandslipp

TREDJE BANDSLIPP FRA LEGEND METALFEST:

Her kommer tredje bandslipp og denne gangen kan vi by på følgende godbiter. MORTEM ble dannet i siste halvdel av 80-tallet da det ble regnet som et av de klassiske black metal bandene i Norge. Deretter tok de ikke mindre enn 30 år pause, før de fant ut at nå var det dags igjen. Nå kommer de til Legend Metalfest 2023 og vi gleder oss som noen unger. NATHR er et funeral doom metal prosjekt fra Trondheim og dette blir bandets aller første konsert. Dette blir massivt og tungt. BLODSVAR ble til under den første covid-høsten i 2020 og de spiller en herlig crossover-thrash det lukter svidd av. Detta blir svett. Siste band denne gangen er trioen HÜSMÄNSKÖST. Spiller en eksperimental form for grindcore. Også her er jeg redd det blir en svett opplevelse.

 

MORTEM

Det er i år 36 år siden Mortem ble dannet av Steinar Sverd og Marius Vold. Hellhammer fra Mayhem ble også med et drøyt år senere. Bandet ble en del av den harde kjernen av black metal band i Norge på slutten av 80-tallet før medlemmene gradvis ble mer opptatt med andre bandprosjekt som f.eks Arcturus og Mayhem. Startet opp igjen for fem år siden og til høsten er de endelig klare for Trondheim og Legend Metalfest 2023. I dagens Mortem lineup finner vi fortsatt Steinar Sverd og Marius Vold sammen med Tor Stavenes fra 1349 og Eivin Brye fra bl.a. Svart Lotus.

NATHR

Doom will rise from the ashes of Nidaros.

We start to dig up the somber emptiness of our souls, to express the grievances of life.

Malus Vivendi.

Watching the deepest darkness within ourself and see the silver lining of the sparse moonlight shining a light on our inspiration. Nathr has become the right tool for us to share this dark and empty awareness with the world.

Nathr started in 2020 as an idea between Nathas (Funeral Harvest) and Northr (Northr, Funeral Harvest and Plog), later joined by the drummer Ond (Funeral Harvest, Keiser)

This International consortium of Dark minded musicians is set to open the graves of the old Viking capital Nidaros and the first ever Sonance of Nathr has resonate through the world with the Ep “Beinahrúga” and a split Ep “Shadows Crawl” with Ordo Cultum Serpentis.

By accending into the cript of twilight Nathr is, in momento tenebris, engaged in constructing a full lenght album.

BLODSVAR

Blodsvar started as a kitchen project in autumn 2020 under the covid. First it was only 2 guys who knew each other since early childhood but never done any music together. The first idea was just to bring some riffs at the table, and have some fun.

But as it developed, and the songs got stronger we thought we had something that could go further. We hooked up with an old friend who just moved to the same town, and we knew had a strong voice. After some struggle we finally found a drummer that could play the drums properly and added a second guitarist too.

And here you got it.

A band that not trying to reinvent the wheel, but just kick out some riffs and songs in best tradition and inspiration with bands from the thrash and hardcore scene we grew up on in the 80s and 90s.

HÜSMÄNSKÖST

Kristiansundsbandet Husmanskost startet i 2015 og er endelig tilbake på scenen igjen. Etter 7 utgivelser og med sine røtter hovedsakelig i grind, eksperimenterer de stadig vekk med forskjellige vri og tvister på stilen for hver skive. Sjangre er ikke så viktig så lenge låtene er bra sydd sammen med atmosfære og intensitet!
