STATUS QUO – Quo’ing In – The Best of the Noughties

The legendary Status Quo have made some excellent and noteworthy recordings in the noughties as evidenced by this 3-disc set containing a nice mixture of classics, rarities, overlooked gems, and even a previously unreleased live show from 2008. This is quite the interesting release in that it displays just how many great tunes the British rockers have crafted these past few decades, and the fact that there are brand-new recordings and also new mixes of certain pieces done in 2022 is a real treat. Given that 45 tracks are included here, it should come as no surprise that the quality of the material wavers a bit from time to time and that a handful of songs feel superfluous, but the majority of this cool collection of kick-ass boogie rock is a worthwhile output that illustrates just how awesome these gentlemen (still) are. Fascinating stuff for sure and plenty of uplifting pieces for you to enjoy here.
