TUSMØRKE – Intetnett

We would be remiss if we did not mention this charming and quirky children’s album by the Norwegian purveyors of psychedelic prog rock known as Tusmørke. Entitled Intetnett and consisting of 21 tunes and a rather brilliant concept and storyline, this is a hugely entertaining and inventive opus that is somewhat similar to the accomplished Bydyra record (2017).

It being a children’s album does entail that this might not be for everyone, but the trademarks and unique qualities that one associates with Tusmørke’s inimitable (and oftentimes peculiar) and genius songwriting are firmly in place on this cohesive and engaging offering. It is catchy and easy to digest without being one-dimensional or uninteresting, and unless you are dead inside then I guarantee you that parts of this will make you sit up and pay attention to what is going on. In short, if you are a prog nerd and have kids, nephews, and/or nieces, you could certainly do worse than picking up a copy of this great-looking album for them as the whole musical narrative is bound to captivate their young minds. Very different to everything else out there and very cool stuff overall. Inventive is the word that sums this one up.
