DEGREED – Are You Ready

The latest output by Swedish hard rockers Degreed sounds absolutely massive in every sense of the word and if you desire passionate vocals, an incredibly tight and powerful rhythm section, and thunderous choruses that will blow you away, look no further than “Are You Ready”.

Listening to these barnstormers and arena-sized rockers is 40 minutes of fist-pumping bliss, and the guitar tone is simply gorgeous. Words such as exhilarating and uplifting come to mind here, but what it really boils down to is the fact that the song material is insanely catchy and superbly written. There appears to be an infinite number of hooks present on the album, and I am having a hard time finding any flaws here. Could it be more original? Sure, but when the compositions are as immaculately crafted as they are here and the playing is top notch, there really is no reason why we should not fall head over heels in love with the LP.

The record is way more energetic, concise, and entertaining than all their previous offerings, and there are no pedestrian or saccharine ballads to be found this time around. A thoroughly enjoyable listen and highly recommended.
