INHUMANITY VORTEX – Reverse Engineering

The musically talented group known as Inhumanity Vortex performs modern-sounding technical death metal with countless shifts, starts, stops, and progressive curveballs, and this is some impressive and oftentimes dazzling shit. The five compositions that constitute this EP are aggressive and punishing, and there is a cold and cynical edge to them.

Apart from its wicked bass lines, dark vocals, groovy riffs, and a pretty damn decent use of electronics, “Reverse Engineering” is also atmospheric, and the sci-fi theme of the affair goes hand in hand with its bleak and dystopian mood as well as its pummeling and punchy sound.

“Reverse Engineering” is not exactly original stuff, but if you fancy some crushing metal that will make your head spin and melt your brain, then check this cool demo EP out. It definitely grew on me the more I listened to it, and the raw slice of lethal music that is “Through the Infinite” is the standout track here, so make a note of that one. Brutal and promising!
