STOP STOP – Barceloningham

A glam hard rock/ metal trio from Barcelona, Spain, Stop Stop are up to album three with "Barceloningham", a 12 song affair sure to be the life of any party. Sleazy, primal, and addictive – you feel a lot of Faster Pussycat, Poison, and Skid Row if given a little Jane’s Addiction transformation when it comes to the chorus ease, colorful melodies, and engaging licks and tricks. It’s hard not to put fists in the air or scream the lyrics to "Over & Out", the down and dirty "Walk N’ Stalk", or the exotic, bluesy playfulness of the title cut.
Stop Stop keep the production values lean and mean – nothing feels sterile or over processed, keeping the songs on point as one would expect to take them in for live concerts. "Barceloningham" as a result brings me back to the heydays of sleaze/ glam hard rock, and should be enjoyable to most who want current artists to deliver new material in that vein.
