I would like to start out this little review of mine by stating that Beasto Blanco rules and that I love it. Chuck Garric (Alice Cooper) is the man behind the whole thing and he has done a great job when it comes to creating and releasing an extremely energetic, intense, catchy, raw, and 100 % real fucking rock ‘n’ roll record, the kind of record that you hardly experience nowadays. Oh man, I just LOVE this album! Musically, I would say that lovers of Motörhead, early Guns N’ Roses, Skid Row, and Motley Crue ought to worship and adore "Live Fast Die Loud". The vocals are absolutely awesome and the vocal styles of Calico Cooper and Chuck compliment each other beautifully. The vibrant and driving bass lines and the crushingly heavy drums make out a stellar rhythm-section. The guitar leads and all the subtle nuances and details are a pleasure to get lost in. The songs are varied and dynamic, and the production is suitably rough around the edges for this type of music. Pretty much every song kicks ass and will smash your ugly face in. I love the extremely catchy and fist-pumping "Beasto Blanco", and "California" is probably one of the best power ballad-type of songs that I have ever heard…a melancholic power ballad with balls, if there ever was one…well, there is now, that is for damn sure! I would not be able to live with myself if I did not bring the brilliance of "Breakdown" and "MotorQueen" to your attention as well, or the masterpiece that is the title track for that matter. This is classic anthemic (hard) rock at its best in my opinion. The compositions and arrangements are top of the line and simply leave most other bands bleeding in the ditch. Beasto Blanco are a force to be reckoned with, and there is something very uplifting and life-affirming and charming about "Live Fast Die Loud". It is no wonder that Alice Cooper, Johnny Depp, Mikkey Dee, etc. have all praised this rather unique album. It is true to its old-school roots and yet fresh and modern. Support this band at all costs, dear readers, and play this fucker loud!
