SEPTUAGINT was formed in the winter of 2006 by Co.de.x. (guitars, bass & programming) and Virus (guitars & vox) and after a few days the impure duo found a name, Declaration:Holocaust. The lyrical part of the band is about religion, god, satan and man himself. Inspired by bands like: Deathspell Omega, Merrimack, Funeral Mist, Marduk, Ofermod, Ved Buens Ende and many more in order to create a unanimus unholy doctrine.
In 2010 a new era started! The group released the first parts of their apocalypse in a two track promo cd.
Psalm I from the Sainteerie concept was included in a Compilation Cd named "The Black Syndicate Vol.1"
After lots of thought a new chapter has begun to unveil. The band has decided to change their name to "Septuagint" for reasons that indicate the insanty of the world today. The new logo is made by the highly respected Christophe Spazjdel.
In 2013 Nycriz joined the inner circle to handle duties behind the drumkit and Iconoclast as the new bassist.
From the upcoming album "Negative Void Trinity", released by Forever Plagued on April 7th, 2014.
Another prospective Greek black metal band has emerged among our ranks in the form of SEPTUAGINT. The duo play a fast black metal style that knows when to pace itself – not much different from some bands under the moniker of orthodox BM, but with their own Mediterranean flair. Lyrically, SEPTUAGINT are very religious, but also distance themselves, to a certain degree, from being absorbed completely in any particular theological train of thought. Being presented here is their debut EP, Negative Void Trinity, which is being proudly released by FOREVER PLAGUED. Highly recommended to anyone who is following the Greek scene, firstly, then of course bands like of Aosoth, Ascension, Avichi, Acherontas, Nightbringer, etc.
