SAPIENCY – Tomorrow

German melodic modern death metal from a six-piece group called Sapiency, "Tomorrow" is the follow up to their 2010 debut "Fate’s End". Good cop/ bad cop vocals, a guitar tone and low groove that would make Slipknot and Coal Chamber fans proud, a synthetic nature to the double bass taps, and exciting harmonic elements means "Free Within", "Breaking Chains" and the other 9 tracks of "Tomorrow" can be quite confusing to latch onto for developing a following.
Imagine if you could latter day In Flames with Engel’s modern flair and vocals that can mirror any number of faceless current metal-core offerings and that seems to be Sapiency’s style in a nutshell. Searing lead breaks make "Torn Apart" and "Hungry Again" worth checking out, but otherwise too many obvious loops, tough riffs and straightforward groove elements keep the album safe and predictable.
