DOOM’S DAY – The Unholy

DOOM’S DAY – The Unholy

Hailing from Quebec, Canada, occult metal/ punk act Doom’s Day has a sound that mutates the old school evilness of Black Sabbath, Mercyful Fate, and The Misfits with a modern rebellious spirit. The riffing is lean and mean, you’ll hear a copious amount of organ accompaniment for funeral effect, and the vocals of DooM are more in a lower range befitting his namesake. There’s something about the dark grooves within "Ghost of Fate" and the title track that will bring a sly smirk to your face- very throwback and old at heart.

More of an EP length with 8 tracks flying by your headspace in a swift 24 minutes and change, "The Unholy" may not win awards in the originality sweepstakes- but Doom’s Day adore the late 70’s to early 80’s scene when punk, doom, and evil metal scared the world.
