Slovakia’s Eye Beyond Sight are a thrash band with modern groove and crossover death elements on this second album “The Sun And The Flood”. The vocals have a Pro Pain/ barking power to them, leaving the musical part to carry the bulk of the melodic duties. Artists like Grave, Derrick Green-era Sepultura and a smidge of Machine Head come to mind on songs like “That Hurts”, “Redemption” and “We Care”. People may sway to and fro to these songs, but the retention factor seems to be lacking once the album stops.
“The Sun And The Flood” probably appeals more from the group in a live setting- for now this record is average at best.
