Norwegian Fjordfader was founded during the summer of 2010 and consists of mainman & writer Kristoffer, the guitarists Richard & Øystein, with Felix handling the drums. They are now recording the debut album which will be entiteled "Hyllest Til Hordaland", an album scheduled for release later this year, so this 3 track EP are in other words a taste of what we can expect.
Inspired by the fjords and people that once were settled in Hordaland, Fjordfader sees it as their mission to capture the majestic feeling that lives hand in hand with the harshness of the north sea. Mixing up influences from the Viking/folk genre with thrash and some black metal, add heart and soul, the result is simply put damn good. I also love the fact that they sing in Norwegian, it makes me proud of both them and myself, Norwegian are meant to be sung this way!
