PATRIK JANSSON BAND – Patrik Jansson Band

Sweden singer/songwriter/guitarist Patrik Jansson releases a debut album of blues/southern rock- very much in line with Stevie Ray Vaughan, ZZ Top and others in that ilk. The four piece fuel songs like “I’ll Keep On Moving” and “Please Tell Me” with true organ sounds, crisp blues riffs and leads and that comfort you expect more from deep southern acts from the USA, not necessarily from Sweden. Patrik’s voice is much in line with Jeff Healey (remember his presence in the 80’s scene?), and while not metal I can take solace in the fact that when I need some old fashioned blues rock, the Patrik Jansson Band keep me company just fine.
