ENCHANTING DARKNESS – From Below

Norwegian four piece death/thrash outfit with traditional and black metal elements on this four song self-released EP. Most will enjoy the scattershot riffing techniques Gjermund Fredheim employs – very much a raw, loose manner that makes a song like the Coroner-esque “Circus Fatale” exciting to these ears. “Swept In Cold Matter” features blitzkrieg drum and guitar pacing through the main verses not dissimilar to American acts like Anthrax or Nuclear Assault.

Einar Fjelldal’s vocals could use a touch more improvement (typical growl/screams), but Enchanting Darkness have loads of talent and energy which makes "From Below" a cool introduction to the band.
