VULTURE INDUSTRIES med platekontrakt

AVANT-GARDE METALLERS VULTURE INDUSTRIES SIGN WITH DARK ESSENCE  

 

Norwegian Avant-Garde Metallers VULTURE INDUSTRIES have signed with the Bergen-based Dark Essence Records for the release of "The Dystopia Journals". 

 

The 8-track album will be VULTURE INDUSTRIES' first full-length release, the band's previous releases –  "The Enemy Within" and "The Benevolent Pawn" having received great critical acclaim both in the Norwegian and international music press, with "The Benevolent Pawn" earning a 9/10 rating from Terrorizer magazine.    

The line-up for the album is Bjornar E. Nilsen (BLACK HOLE GENERATOR) on vocals, synths and programming; guitarist Øyvind Madsen (SULPHUR, ex-ENSLAVED, sessions guitars for DEATHCON); Eivind Huse (SULPHUR, ex-SYRACH) on Guitars; Kyrre Teigen on Bass and Tor Helge Gjengedal (MALICE IN WONDERLAND, ex-SULPHUR, ex-TAAKE) on drums.  

Produced by the band's vocalist Bjornar Nilsen, the album is due to be mastered at the Cutting Room in Sweden, which is popular with bands such as ENSLAVED, OPETH, AUDREY HORNE and DIMMU BORGIR.  Nilsen is himself a producer and owner of Bergen's Conclave Media Studios (together with Herbrand Larsen and Arve Isdal of ENSLAVED) and is currently working on the new album from DEAD TO THIS WORLD, the band formed and fronted by IMMORTAL bassist Iscariah. Recording for Nilsen's own Black Metal band BLACK HOLE GENERATOR is slated to start later in the year.  

A release date of 10 September 2007 has been set for "The Dystopia Journals".  "Pills of Conformity" a track from the album, as well as two tracks from the "Benevolent Pawn" demo, can be heard on the band's official MySpace page at www.myspace.com/vultureindustries.
