PING is back – playing experimental Norwegian rock since last millennium. Inspiration from diverse artists like Zappa, Melvins, Ween, dEUS, Gentle Giant, Motorpsycho, Tom Waits and Wilco can be heard through all albums, combining elements from 60´s roots to modern metal and electronica.
Did you know there are worlds awaiting in the void?
Ping’s new concept album Songs from the Nebula bends time and space with melodic yet dissonant progressive rock from the outer reaches. Songs from the Nebula brings words from that emptiness and the hope of space-time companions to be found. You’ll hear claims of accelerating time; that black matter lives; a maiden voyage ship-wreck in the multiverse; bad boy recycling a funeral cake; and Calisto’s lament at always being number two. Play loud and travel light!
